In the midst of this self isolation period, you may find yourself working from home with your partner. When that happens, how do you control yourself or adjust yourself with the situation so you may not end up losing your partner.
Here are some 5 tips to guide you.
1. Compromise and respect for each other’s work routine
For example: one of you may prefer working in a noisy environment, say with loud music while the other would prefer the silence way. When this happens, be considerate enough to use earphones to accommodate each other. Or better still, can excuse yourself to a far end of the house if only the house is big.
Show necessary respect to physical workspace for each other. Make sure u do not disturb or interfere so much on your partner's privacy because he/she is your woman or man. Keep that to yourself.
3. Make use of the spare time wisely:
Since both of you would be working from home, and there would be no traffic as to who's late or coming early. Make use of that extra time you have profitable. You two can do things you like best by watching the most interesting movies, cooking together, reading those interesting books you love etc.
4. caring for the kids:
Make turns in taking care of the kids if there is any. Do not leave it on one partner alone.
5. Find some alone time
At this stage, you may find yourselves bored since you both have been under lockdown. When this happens; you can do things separately without guilt-tripping each other. For instance calling family and friends and engaging them in conversation and trust me before you realise, that love bond would come back.
