Following the announcement made by President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo over partial lockdown in parts of the country , there has been a mad rush for gas by Ghanaians in some filling stations.
Many people were seen in a long queue waiting patiently to fill their cylinders so as to have enough during the period.
However, in the midst of the epidemic, the number of Ghanaians have refused to adhere to the social distancing measure which is crucial curbing the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

I commend the government of Ghana for it’s prompt actions to curb the spread of this deadly virus. However, it is another level how Ghanaians interpret and react to the measures being put in place by the government. I think that is were the confusing hails from. From the very moment Nana ADDO announces the lockdown of some cities in Ghana, there has been an unusual fear and panic in the people hence mass buying, abnormal increase of goods and services , mass traveling from affected cities to rural areas. Hmmm my question is; are Ghanaians really helping to fight the virus with this attitude or they are themselves the virus?
Hmm, that's the issue here, I think the education must be intensified on this very issue. People did not understand the govt well.
Yes my Sister, this is because The Government didn’t speak à language to their understanding. I think he needs to do that AGAIN as soon as POSSIBLE...
see this yourself my dear

@vivianarthur3 at all not well.
Personally I don't blame Ghanaians so much, Nana Addo should've done the announcement in our native dialect....since the majority don't understand English.
Lol
You have a point but Nana has the pointer lol he chooses.. but come to think of it, which local dialect would you have wanted him to address us in since we don’t have one common local language spoken across the nation? Don’t forget we have more than 47 local languages spoken in Ghana. I also think the speech was not only targeted to Ghanaians in Ghana alone but those in the diaspora as well... so you see
@Nathaniel Awuku When they are campaigning for political power they speak local language, so I was expecting that the National Address would be made the same way, However, they could have interpreted for everyone to understand Since it’s a life issue, I can see you are N.P.P member.
Nat. I’m surprised you are asking of the language Nana should have spoken whiles you know that TWI is a common language which all the tribes in Ghana understand even those who cannot speak understand. if not why did he ended his speech with Ghanaian language
check it out now and you will understand

It’s just an assumption dear. The fact that it’s the widely spoken local language does not mean that everybody understands it. Go to the Northern region, upper East, upper west, Volta etc and you would understand what I’m talking about... people don’t understand a thing in TWI in Ghana. Have you ask yourself why the president spoke about 3 different local languages? Even some of the Gas do not understand twi hmmm ... And in this situation every life matters... u can’t afford to keep others on the blind side.

😅😅... please l‘m not
@Nathaniel Awuku Anyway, it's not N.P.P or N.D.C.....
@Gabi Smith we wouldn’t want to politicize critical issues like this... Ghana is for us all not for a political party... Let’s all unite and fight this virus... we can do it
Nat just go and make your research, you will come back to confirm that all Ghanaians understand TWI, thought some can’t speak.
Really, so you still think all Ghanaians understand TWI? Waaw! See I have met people in the volta region I spoke twi with them they told me they don’t understand... Look this is not what I have read from somewhere or heard. I experienced it myself so I know what I am talking about.
